The day when my dreams came true .

I was then aged 8.  My primary school was a 10 min walk away from my home at that time. So each day my father would bring me to school. Every single day , he is the one who would walk with me , give advice in the early hours. So as we were walking my father would ask me to say some things which he asked me to repeat after him.

First he would teach me some sentences like this :

I am very smart.
I am the top student.
Everyone in my class likes me , my teachers , my relatives and all .
All my dreams will come true.
I am studying well.

And more self motivating sentences like that. That i will ask him , dad why must say this ? I am talking to myself , how is that good?

Than he said , no son you're not talking to yourself, you're sub-consciously talking to your mind. For the first 3 days i didnt really give importance. But slowly my father words started inspiring me , and slowly i could visualize the things which i was talking , i could feel it.

So after the 3 days i would really talk to myself , and feel it. As each day passed by , my believe was getting stronger. And i could feel it physically , the teachers were caring towards me , i had many friends. I was selected as the model pupil for february for having outstanding behaviour . :)

And when i went home i will also put in my effort to study. Like my father would go out to work , and mum will be busy with other stuff , so i took the self initiative to study. They would buy for me assesment books and do their part and my part was to study.

So after many months at November , the teacher said she was going to announce the first 3 positions of the class and the model pupil of the year.

So she started writing on the board :

FIRST IN CLASS : Muhammad Ahshik .

As she was writing the Muhammad part of my name , i still thought it wasnt me as there were 3 other 'Muhammads' in my class. But than in the end of writing the name , i realised it was me . So i went home and told my parents, both of themm thought i was just joking and playing. They didnt believe me.

A week passed and they issued the consent letter to attend the prize giving ceremony. That is when they really believed me !

My father was so proud, he congratulated me and along with that made me feel that the power of talking sub consciouslty to your mind is very important. I believed in myself, i felt the feelings and soon my dreams became a reality.

So friends , we have to learn how to believe in ourselves. From today , let us start talking to our minds. Let us connect with our mind and make it happen. Give it a try , it works ! , My story is a example. :))

Cheers :)

Spend your time wisely . First things first.

A philosophy professor stood before his class with some items on the table in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, about 2 inches in diameter.
He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks.
He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He then asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “Yes.”
“Now,” said the professor, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The rocks are the important things – your family, your partner, your health, your children – things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter – like your job, your house, your car.
The sand is everything else. The small stuff.”
“If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued “there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life.
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take your partner out dancing. There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal.
Take care of the rocks first – the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”
There are many more great stories in there , so do spend your time to read them .. :)

Interview with Mrs Gladys Pang

Today while at the English class, I decided to interview Mrs Gladys Pang for today’s post. She first said she didn’t want to share as it was fishy but soon after managing to convince her she started to talk.

I asked her a few questions but she declined to answer them. However finally she started to share some advices with me as I said that she was an inspirational figure to many students in the school.

Mrs Pang said she didn’t want to be a teacher at the start and it was never her dream. But however she came to teaching with a lot of hardwork and good results.

Her advice is that first you work smart. She said that there is no point studying for 5 hours and nothing goes in your brain. You write paragrahs , do lots of working and in the end you still don’t get it. However if youre smart you can try different ways of learning such as drawing up mindmaps with a lot of colours in it . This makes us have the attraction to study as colours are attractive which can immediately grabbing our attention. So by this we can save time. She said from maybe 5hours you can cut down 2hours and study in this wau. This is called the studying smart habit.

‘’ Don’t study hard , study smart’’ .

The next advice she gave don’t hide your talents. Many students have talent but they often don’t express it as they are fearful to get negative comments. We should try to expose as much of our talents , even if we aren’t good at something we can always improve on it. So never hide your talents and just let the world know what you can do.

Final advice she gave is just be yourself. I asked her why she puts the weird face and she said its just being herself . Haha :)  . No offence , what im trying to interpret is that many people may find you weird and all that , but the best is to be yourself. First people may not like it, but slowly they will start to adapt to it. But if you wanna copy the style of others and be cool , it is never cool. Just be yourself. You cant be others , you can only be yourself. You are special , you are unique.

When I heard the advices from her , I really found it meaningful as sometimes even I study for late hours. But ive never tried changing my study habits. No point spending 5hours when you can master the topic in hour. It’s not how long you study , its how much you study and how much goes to your head.

Thanks for the advice Mrs Pang , each day I will try my best to interview one teacher.

Cheers :)

Stop complaining , start appreciating.

In life there are lots of positives , but we tend to always look at the negatives. We may be good in a particular thing but we ourselves don't look at it. We only look at what we are not good at. Today's post in somehow similar to it. We have so many blessings in life , but we tend to overlook them . We always complain , we always want more but we never did appreciate all the small things that we have in life. Even me ! It's time to change , and by reading the end of this post hope we all can change for the better .

This is about a person who would you've heard before . It's ABOUT NICK VUJICIC: Imagine being born without arms. No arms to wrap around someone, no hands to experience touch, or to hold another hand with. Or what about being born without legs? Having no ability to dance, walk, run, or even stand on two feet. Now put both of those scenarios together: no arms and no legs. What would you do? How would that effect your everyday life?

This is a man who has no legs , no arms. Imagine being in this scenario , we would have two choices . One is to keep complaining , blaming everyone you can and doing nothing in life. Second , you wish not to complain and even in that situatuion you are thankful that you're alive and thinking as long as you exist there's a way out. Life was a struggle for him as you might expect. Brushing , eating , writing , studying and many more. Even for us for are perfectly structured with two arms , two legs we feel tired and many more. But imagine being Nick. How tough life can be. He was bullied throughout his school life and many more.  Currently he is a inspirational speaker. To know more about him you can log onto http://www.attitudeisaltitude.com/aboutus-nick.php .
Nick is an inspirational speaker and says, "Motivation gets you through the day, but inspiration lasts a lifetime.""
If it was us how will it manage it ? Will we be complaining? Life is all about choices , we should make the right decision.
Now pause and ponder , how many of us are thankful for having 2arms and 2legs, being able to walk , run and many more. We should be appreciative of this.
Next we are gonna look at a more closer person , closer to our age. She is also a teen like us and has a great story to share. But this story isnt is much famous as that of Nick Vujicic. However, its still inspiring and let us look at the story.
Meet Samantha Garvey 17-year-old high school student
and her family have experienced the ultimate roller coaster of fortune; starting with eviction from their Long Island home on Jan. 1. After a week in a hotel, they moved into a homeless shelter in Bay Shore. Unbeknownst to Garvey, an aspiring marine biologist, she had been selected as a semifinalist in the national Intel science competition, an honor that could end up earning her a $100,000 grand prize.
News of her situation quickly spread — and so too did the donations. Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone was moved to do something for the Garveys and quickly made a three-bedroom, rent-subsidized home available to the family. Bellone called her story "an inspiration to millions of families in our country."
Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) agreed — and has extended an invitation for Garvey to attend next month's State of the Union. “I want her to be an example of perseverance in the face of adversity,” he told the New York Daily News.
And then there's Ellen DeGeneres.
The comedian invited Garvey onto her show for an episode airing today, surprising her with a $50,000 college scholarship from AT&T.
"I know you want to continue your education," said Ellen. "You want to go to either Yale or Brown University. Well, we wanted to help you with that. So our friends at AT&T heard about your story and because of their commitment to the 'Aspire' program to education, they want to help you achieve your dreams. So they are going to give you a $50,000 scholarship to go to the school of your choice."
According to Newsdays' TV Zone, Samantha and her family also received a a $1,000 gift card to Whole Foods and $5,000 to JC Penney.
We all have the privilege of going to school each day , vut we tend to overlook the small thing and take that for granted. We complain that there is too much homework , too much test , too tiring and many more. We have to work hard for what we want. This girl was homeless and she knew that she had to be the one to step up and take initative to take charge and lead the family. The only way out is education. Education is the only way to end poverty.
So looking at these two different stories , out without proper structured body and another one is a girl without a home. Neither of them complained , they appreciated what they had , and now live successful life.
So take charge , its your life , your battle. Step up and fight for what you want , Never give up & finally Stop Complaining and Start appreciating .
ChEERs !! :)

Never Judge Anyone ! ( Story)

Read the complete story to understand !

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery.
He answered the call asap, changed his clothes 'n went directly to the surgery block.
He found the boy's father pacing in the hall waiting for the doctor.

On seeing him, the dad yelled:
"Why did You take all this time to come? Don't You know that my son's life is
in danger? Don't You... have any sense of responsibility?"

The doctor smiled 'n said:
"I am sorry, I wasn't in the hospital 'n I came as fast as I could after
receiving the call......
'n now, I wish you'd calm down so that I can do my work"

"Calm down?!
What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down?
If your own son dies now what will You do??" said the father angrily

The doctor smiled again 'n replied: "I will say what Job said in the Holy
Book "From dust we came 'n to dust we return, blessed be the name of God".
Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go 'n intercede for your son, we will do our best by God's grace"

"Giving advises when we're not concerned is so easy" Murmured the father.

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy,
"Thank goodness!, your son is saved!"
'n without waiting for the father's reply he carried on his way running.
"If You have any question, ask the nurse!!"

"Why is he so arrogant? He couldn't wait some minutes so that I ask about my son's state"
Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face:
"His son died yesterday in a road accident,
he was in the burial when we called him for your son's surgery.
'n now that he saved your son's life, he left running to finish his son's burial."

=========Moral=========
Never judge anyone...
Because You never know how their life is,
what they're going through,'n What their Journey is all About".. !

Disappoinment

Past few weeks i havent been the normal person . Although in the outside i'm still happy , smiling and laughing , inside of me there is something which is bothering me a lot. Today i am going to share what it is about.

I was part of the Mosque Youth group for several years. It's been 4years since i first joined the group. I was an active member when i first joined because the Mosque was very near to my house. I was living at Redhill at that time and it was just a 2min walk to the Mosque , it was also just a 5min walk to my school Henderson Secondary. So everyday after school i would visit the Mosque to complete my prayers. Soon after that i was the first member of the newly formed youth group and i was asking my other friends to join. Each friday we would gather in a meeting room after the prayers and would do some basic religious studies , after that we would have our lunch and go to Gan Eng Seng Secondary school field to play soccer.

With these members we formed a soccer team. For 1.5 years i didnt miss any training sessions and was always at the mosque whenever i got the time. Soon many members started to join and our youth group was keep expanding.

But than , our family had to move to Malaysia . Since i was 4 i have been living in Singapore and going to Malaysia was a very tough decision for me and my family to make. However we had to do it because , we found Malaysia a better place to live in was a better opportunity to invest in houses. For $800,000 in Singapore we can only get a 4-room house but for the same amount we can have our own landed property in Malaysia.

So we moved there and the first year was a struggle as it was hard to adapt. I had to go back home after prayers on Friday and if i went for my training sessions at 5pm i have to be stuck in the traffic jam in the causeway . So i couldnt go for training sessions. But i still took the effort to attend some training sessions, lets say 40% of the training sessions.

And while this there was this Mosque Youth award , to commemorate all the youths who have been involved in the Mosque. I was involve in the Mosque for 3years at that time and i didnt get the Certificate . All the others got it , but i didnt.

I did huge sacrifices other than attending training , by helping to clean the Mosque , coming all the way from Malaysia , and i thought my hardwork went to waste. But in my heart i remembered , '' Haiya this is just a certificate , i do this for the sake of god , not to get any form of reward'' . So i let the matter rest.

However this time the heartbreak was abit more severe.

I played at the soccer team for 4 years and participated in more than 10 tournaments . Each time we would go and be defeated in the first/second. There was twice we were defeated in the Semi-finals. This time another tournament we want to become Champions and it was our target.

We reached our target , we won . Out of 6 matches i could only play 2 full matches , the other 4 i couldnt because some were during exam period and others were while i wasn't feeling well. I played to my best , coming down from JB to the place on time , giving my best shot . Being a defender , trying to stop all attacks and gave my very best.

So after we became Champions all of my team-mates got the medal. Those who didnt play any matches , and some played just 1 got the medal . But me who played 2 matches didnt get the medal . So i asked for my medal .

The reason i wasnt given the medal was because that i didnt attend the training sessions and wasnt an active member.

I explained my situation long ago , all of them there knew im coming from Malaysia. When i told that i couldnt come for training they said they understand but in the end i dont get what i deserved.

If i didnt play at all , or just was at the reserves and wasnt given the medal i can understand. But i gave my best , even got some injuries along the way . To not get what i deserve even though i put in the effort and hardwork hurts me alot.

However in life , there will be alot of unexpected stuff like this. Even though you put in alot of effort you dont get what you deserve. I will take this as a lesson to be stronger and dont expect too much from anything. You may think that just a medal it isnt much , and i must play for the sake of the team and not for medals . I agree. But we play hard to win , and when you win you gotta get something and when you dont thats one of the major disappointment.

So thats what have been bothering me , however i still will continue to help the mosque whenever i can .

Behind everything there's a reason , this time i dont know the reason but i know it all happens for the a good reason.

Thanks for reading.

18 years and counting

Today is 14.07.2012 , something very tragic happen to my dad's family exactly 18 years ago .

That fateful day was 14.07.1998. My father has 4siblings . So total his family has 7 people . 1 father , 1 mother , my father (eldest child) , followed by 2younger brothers and 2younger sisters . The third brother of this family was selected for scholarship as his results was amazing . So from Johor Bahru his family had to travel to Penang to make him join into the university . So as the family was big they went there in 2 cars . The first car consits of my grandparents and my father . My father was driving , and the other car was driven by the second brother and consists of the 3other siblings

. And they were travelling in the night time . And as you know Malaysia in the past wasn't as developed as now , and even now there are areas in Malaysia yet to be developed . So the were no street lights and it was very very dark . And they continue travelling , while continue driving my father was getting sleepy and sleepy.

However he continued driving and than slowly as he fell asleep h accidentally hit the bumpers and th speed was so fast that the car flipped around 8 times . Both my grandparents were thrown out of the car , my grandfather tragically died on the spot . My father and his mother was taken to the hospital . My grandmother was in hospital but her injuries were not as severe . But for my father he was unconscious and doctor soon said that my father had 3rd degree Spinal cord injury , and doctor said it was a miracle for him to survive . He also said that he will never recover from that . The doctor said walking would be a miracle , and my father was paralysed from head to toe . My grandmother couldn't bear the pain of losing the husband and soon after 5 months she left this world . Now my father as the eldest sibling had to look after all his other siblings .. But how ? Recovering would be hard and chances are as low as Zero . How is it possible ? But in life they say miracles do happen and what happen next would surely be a miracle . As all of th relatives visited my father they would say things like " look what he's done , he has killed his parents " and other negative things to him . What they didn't know is that my father couldn't move , couldn't talk , couldn't open his eyes but he could hear . Each day he heard words which would hurt him. A normal person would just give up and just stay with that situation forever . But my father knew he had responsibilities , he had 4other siblings to take care of , he is the new leader of the family . With this in mind he believed he could recover .

Each day he would visualise himself walking again . Everyday the doctors said he won't walk he started believing more and more that he will be able to walk . And after some 3 Months the doctor saw that my father leg had slight movement . Very slight , but he could feel it . Doctor was starting to give hope. My father could start to open his eyes , but he couldn't talk and ate liquid food . Slowly each day he was motivated and after 9months in the hospital and many different surgeries and operations . After inserting many metal plates in his hand and back which are still there he managed to stand back up an walk . Doctors couldn't believe it . They Said it was impossible . But from this story we can understand the power of believe.

. If you believe that you can don something you will be able . It may take time , people will always talk bad about you and curse you and scold you , but you gotta ignore all of it and be positive . Now my 2 ND uncle is working at Money Changer , my 3rd uncle is a doctor , both my aunties are educated and work in food industry and office . My father strived to his best to make out what his best for his siblings . From this story we should know that we should always believe and hav hope in ourselves . What we think will happen will happen , that is the power of believing. Thanks for reading , hope you will take some benefits from this story.

Cheers :)
